The resilent white birch standing strong on Windemer Point on Mackinac Island, MI. This tree is unprotected, alone at the edge of the stone beach has withstood the extreme winters the Upper Peninsula of Michigan is know for (high winds and cold temperatures). This tree is named after my aunt Daine as it is her favorite tree.
